Commercial Projects

This is a brief description of our more larger bespoke commercial projects

St Bernard's Church Refurbishment

Handmade Joinery & Construction was appointed by St. Bernard's Church to carry out a complete refurbishment of the timber cladding that had completely rotted away. We replaced all the old cladding with new treated cladding, and we also replaced the plywood with marine-grade plywood. Following the repair on the cladding, we carried out renovation maintenance on the downpipes and guttering. We are experienced in the construction, renovation, and refurbishment of commercial properties in Northern Ireland. We work closely with the customer and ensure that the job is clearly described. At Handmade Joinery & Construction, we also offer a full project management service to aid clients through the full build process and ensure a high-quality finish.

Pretty Polished Nail Salon

This Nail Salon fit out project was undertaken by Handmade Joinery & Construction for Pretty Polished in Glengormely.

Pretty Polished Glengormley

Pretty Polished is a local nail salon in the centre of Glengormley. We were contacted to carry out the entire joinery fit-out and refurbishment for the new commercial space. We also provided Sinead with a full project management service to aid her through the full build process and ensure a high-quality finish. Handmade Joinery & Construction completely gutted the new space. We constructed a floor plan design and 3D look of what the space would look like once completed. We carried out the entire carpentry and joinery within this space, from new stud partitions, plaster boarding, door linings, doors, skirting and architrave, flooring, kitchen space, and finishing touches such as panelling, tiling, and the reception desk. Our experience is shown throughout this space, from the high-quality finish to the modern and stylish designs.

Avenue Apartments

Handmade Joinery & Construction, also known as HJC, showcased their expertise and attention to detail in the renovation project of a residential property into a 4-bedroom serviced apartment with a spacious living area and an open kitchen layout. Taking on structural modifications such as supporting an old staircase, installing new door linings, and completing joinery work in the bathroom demonstrated their ability to tackle significant changes in the property layout. Moreover, managing all finishing tasks including panel work, laminate flooring, skirting, and door installation ensured a cohesive and high-quality transformation of the space, ultimately creating a modern and appealing environment that would meet the expectations of guests staying at the apartment. Through their craftsmanship and comprehensive approach, HJC successfully brought the client's vision to life, showcasing their professionalism and capability in the field of joinery and construction.

St Mary's on the Hill Church

HJC was commissioned by St. Mary's on the Hill Parish to undertake the restoration of the chapel doors. Our team carefully stripped the inner panels of the solid doors and replaced the rotted and delaminated timber components. The panels were replaced with marine-grade plywood, and new custom trim was crafted to match the existing architectural detailing. In addition to the doors, HJC addressed the soffits, which were showing signs of degradation and rot due to excessive water damage. We meticulously redecorated the doors, railings, soffits, and fascia boards to provide protection and enhance the overall appearance of the church. Furthermore, HJC replaced the doors for the playgroup, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The entire project was managed by HJC and completed to a very high standard, reflecting our commitment to quality workmanship.
